St. Michael’s CE Academy is part of Enhance Academy Trust. As part of the Leadership Team, the School Business Manager will support the Headteacher to drive school improvement and develop school systems to enable the highest quality education for our pupils.

  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills

Job Description: 

We are looking to appoint a Support Assistant for Looked After Children in our school. 

Working as part of our caring and nurturing team at Christ Church CE Academy, under the guidance of the Designated Teacher for LAC and SENDCO, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting pupils throughout the school but in particular our Looked After Children, helping them overcome barriers to learning and support their social and emotional development.  This new role to our school needs a patient, calm and empathetic person, who understands the challenges and disruption LAC may encounter and the impact this may have upon their learning and emotional well-being. 

As part of your role of Support Assistant, you would liaise with the SENDCO and Designated Teacher regarding the children’s progress and consider intervention sessions outside the classroom to support their educational and emotional development.
