GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE PROFESSIONAL

START:            1st September 2024 

SALARY:          Grade 9 SCP 28 – 31 (£36,648 to £39,186) Pro Rata

CONTRACT:    Full time or Part Time.  All Year Round or Term Time Only (Both are negotiable)

TERM:              Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity to welcome someone into our central team as Governance and Compliance Professional.

Our Governance and Compliance Professional will develop and support clerking functions, ensuring compliance in all our schools. You will be pivotal in ensuring effective recruitment of, and induction for, new governance volunteers. You will also provide support in the management of risk and ensure that the Trust is compliant with its regulatory and statutory obligations including having overall responsibility for policy development and updating.

With responsibility for developing, implementing, and monitoring operational governance, you will be proactive in ensuring that governance meets all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements. You will be forward thinking and able to implement systems to clearly identify and address gaps.

We are looking for someone with knowledge of governance at both local school and Trust levels. We have recently undertaken a lot of work to improve our governance structures and develop our support to Local Academy Boards. There is still work to do and this post holder will be integral to continuing this journey.

Information sharing and relationship building is key to this post.  The successful candidate will need to have good communication and organisational skills, high expectations and a real commitment to achieving the very highest of standards.
